STATUS: He is a vampire, she is a human.
PROOF OF CHEMISTRY:
Edward and Bella both suffer while they are apart after Edward decides to leave Bella because he feels it is the best thing for her future. Neither one can literally live without the other.

QUIRKS:
When Edward is stressed, he stands very still and pinches the bridge of his nose. Bella is very clumsy.
